Eating grass, a step-by-step guide.

Step one: grab grass and dirt. Step two: hold on tight. Step three: stuff into mouth. Step four: chew, and reconsider this idea.
Yes, that's right folks, springtime means lots of new adventures for little miss Isa. Including a little experiential education on grass... and what it feels like when you put it in your mouth. Yum.

I heart Montana!

I heart Montana. And hanging out with AK, Kevin, Mulv and the gang. This little vacation was a nice break from Lander life. There was alot of hanging out, eating (carrots!), socializing, and napping. Yes, napping. I may not sleep at night anymore but I have learned to take a solid nap. Or atleast for now! Here's a shout out to all my peeps in Bozeman... thanks everyone, miss you already!
love, isa

sippy sippy

Ooh la la, see my new sippy cup? It matches my new bib! And that wasn't even planned!

I haven't quite figured out what this thing is really for... but I do like to play with it. I throw it on the ground and squeal and see how long it takes for mommy to pick up! And then I do it all over again.

Man, this thing is awesome. One of these days I am gonna figure out how to get the water out of here!

the stats...

Isa had her 6 month checkup this morning and according to the charts, she just keeps growing! she now weighs 14lb 11oz and is just under 25 inches long. So that puts her in the 25th percentile for weight and the 10th percentile for height. She's one short little baby (gosh, wonder where that comes from!) Unfortunately this visit included a shot too, which was not much fun for either of us. But she managed just fine and was smiling by the time we got to the car. Way to go Isa!

SIX Months!

Happy Half Birthday Isabel! Woohoo! We’ve made it to the six month mark intact… a bit tired, but smiling! To mark the occasion, we all went out for a nice dinner and Isa got her first taste of cold water. Brrrr. She liked it. But she actually enjoying sucking on the rim of the glass even more. Six months from now it'll be time for cake!

Lander life...

Here in Lander nordic skiing is big, I mean really big. It's like football in the South. But rather than a bunch of hefty guys in shoulder pads, it's a bunch of skinny guys (and girls!) in tights, and on skis. The state high school championships were hosted outside of Lander this year so we dug our Lander Valley High school pride out of the closet and went up to cheer them on! It was an absolutely beautiful day and we all enjoyed the blue skies and great scenery.

As you can see from the photo, Isa was a little less enthusiastic about the event itself but was still content to hang out in the backpack. We included this picture of mom and babe because many of you might be wondering, "Is the mommy ever in the photos? Does she really exist?" Well, here is proof of the mommy, this time on the other side of the lens. Go team!
