thumbs up! it's a...

... cute little baby! this is an picture from this morning's ultrasound. the little one gave us the thumbs up! all is well baby says, all is well. and it certainly is! much to everyone's surprise, the placenta has completely moved up (hallellujah!) so there is no more worry of placenta previa like there was with isa. that was a very welcome surprise. and all the measurements are right where they should be. other than that, it appears that we have a very modest little baby on our hands. and while we *think* we know the gender, i wouldn't suggest going out and buying any blue or pink just yet. the little one had it's legs firmly crossed the entire time, and while the radiologist pulled out all of her tricks to get a definitive look... she wouldn't say 100% one way or another. but, for those of you who are dying to know, you can check out the comments for this thread to see what we *think* the little peanut is!

  1. drumroll please...

    we think it's another GIRL!!

as said in the post, we are not 100% sure, as those little legs were crossed or tucked under it's bottom. but the radiologist tried a few things that almost always indicate whether there is male genitalia or not. and nothing appeared, each time. so, while she wouldn't bet the farm on it, she said she was pretty sure it's a GIRL. so there you go. that's the most definitive answer we got. looks like time will tell!

  3. How exciting! I know Miss Isa must be thrilled, she's gonna have a full time gal pal to play with now! (and most likely strangle when they are both teenagers) Congrats, Blair! And the best of luck to you during the rest of your pregnancy!

  4. Congratulations, Blair! Most especially on your well-behaved placenta! Yay! And on a possible girl! I imagine she's going to be quite well-dressed.

So glad everything looks good and gets an official thumbs-up!

  5. Congratulations! I have two girls and they FILL my life with more pleasure than I ever thought possible!

But, as you said, don't bet the farm! With my first pregnancy I was teaching Kindergarten and FIVE parents in my class of twenty-five kids reported that their ultrasound prediction had been incorrect! I couldn't believe it! I didn't even ask with my first after hearing that! (That was five years ago, though, and surely just a strange coincidence, too!).

  7. Yahooo Blair! Congrats :-) You are well on your way to joining my 3-girl club.

BTW, Boys always flash the goodies with pride, so if the fetus is shy it's DEF a girl.
