the stats...
guess who's still a little peanut? that'd be miss baby. as of this morning she weighs a whopping 17lbs 12oz and is still 27 inches long., which puts her in the 10th percentile overall. for those of you with a good memory, you may recall that those numbers are remarkably similar to her 9 month measurements. she has only gained 8 ounces since then! to no one's surprise though, as she is constantly moving these days. but she is ahead of the milestones and eats like a horse so there is no doubt that she is a healthy kiddo.

saturday in the park
Look who's a big girl all of the sudden. I mean really, doesn't she look like a little girl now? How did that happen anyway? In other exciting news, she started definately signing "more" today. She did it at breakfast and the Mommy thought it was a fluke, but then she did it repeatedly on the way home from the grocery store. New snacks are good motivators like that. It's the Miss Baby version, open handed rather than with closed fingers, but hey she knows and we understand! And as you can see from this video, she is pretty excited to put things on, like sunglasses, random clothing lying on the floor, her shoes, etc. Oh and she also does a serious Stevie Wonder impression (see video). Very exciting stuff.

photo shoot friday
has anyone ever tried to wrangle five babies, all under the age of two, for a photo shoot? i'll check that one off my list. done. today was photo shoot friday for mountain aven baby. fabulous local photographer kristy cardinal agreed to take some photos for the bizness, in exchange for some baby wares of her own. and man, was it crazy! there was a 7 months old, two nearly one year olds, a 20 month old, and a 2 year old. all enduring several wardrobe changes a piece. it was inevitable that some sets would get muddy and grass stained, and they did, but it was well worth it. i only caught a glimpse of two or three shots from her camera screen and they were GORGEOUS. seriously, gorgeous.
so now i am (impatiently) waiting to see all the shots! lord knows how many she took... five babies in twelve different outfits, in various places and poses. and what's more, as an added bonus for those who participated, we are getting a screaming (and i mean screaming) deal on any of the prints. feels like good karma huh? we must have done something right.
these pictures will eventually be loaded onto the etsy shop, in an effort to make the operation look more professional and to better represent the clothes themselves. boosted sales would be a bonus, too. although i haven't really figured out what to do when i come up with new designs and fabric? *scratches head* in the meantime, i will likely shift towards custom orders for the stuff she photographed, and then figure the rest out later.
so stay tuned for more. and maybe a sneek peak of some photos... if you're lucky ;-)

rock the baby
Isa really enjoys playing with the swing these days, particularly when there is something sitting in the seat. Dirty clothes, a plastic bag full of who knows what, a baby doll. She likes to rock the baby, regardless of what the "baby" might actually be. That is unless the Mommy purposely puts an actual baby doll in the seat, of course. Then it's a no go. Baby dall gets tossed, Isa gives an incredulous look, and the rock the baby game continues. Hey, whatever floats your boat kiddo! ;-)
