the new sling: an action shot

ah yes, bring on the comments! is he mowing the lawn with a baby? gasp! the horror! yes, he is indeed mowing the lawn while holding the precious babe. but wait! the point of this photo, in addition to showing how wonderful the Daddy is, was to get an action shot of the new baby sling! the Mommy thought about this all day. she wanted to post a pic of the baby sling, in thanks to our friend Erin, with whom we traded some handmade clothing. but the Mommy was not up for photos today. so when the Daddy took Isa out for a mowing session, the perfect photo opportunity arose. and there you have it. so now that it's all clear, stroll on over to Bluebird Baby and see for yourself what fabulous slings she has to offer. thanks again Erin!

  1. Ha! I was totally not expecting to see your hubby wearing it! We're going to have to trade for a more "manly" sling later, unless he just adores that pink floral print :)

It looks really good though! I hope it's comfortable. Is it? I think they are. I need feedback, so e-mail me after you've gotten used to wearing it. Does Isa like it?

This photo just made my day!

  3. yes, yes they both love it! he's pretty confident in my manhood so the pink flowers don't seem to bother him! or atleast not enough to keep him from mowing the yard!

i can give more specific feedback via email but YES we love it! it's so much more comfortable than the ring sling and feels more secure too. the leg padding is a huge plus.

i think i need a lesson on how to fold it though. i fold the shoulder part down (so the white inside is showing) but it doesn't stay. how did you have it folded in your logo pic? i can't figure that part out. suggestions?

glad you got a kick out of the picture, i thought it was pretty great too!!

  4. Just looks normal... something Phil would do... or figure out how to do...Glad the pink didn't bother him though... maybe there is some color blindness involved?? but I doubt it. The pink, however, is probably for ISA and not for Phil. Looks great! I think its wonderful that ISA wanted to help mow the grass..LOL
